SONG OF THE WEEK:
8th Grade Physical Science
Teacher: Mrs. Duepner
Class Purpose: to develop an appreciation of science through various lecture, demonstration, lab and other learning activities.
Goals for Student Learning:
Class Purpose: to develop an appreciation of science through various lecture, demonstration, lab and other learning activities.
Goals for Student Learning:
- Students will understand that matter is made up of small particles that are in constant motion. They will also understand that matter can be classified in certain ways and that matter interacts with other matter in predictable ways.
- Students will understand that energy is a property of many substances and is associated with heat, light, electricity, mechanical, motion, sound, nuclei, and the nature of a chemical. Energy is also transferred in many ways.
- Students will utilize scientific process skills and problem solving strategies to solve meaningful problems.
